80s Vintage shift dress from Livingston Williams, size M

Full length cotton and linen vintage 80s shift dress from Livingston Williams. Sleeveless. Pintuck pleats outline the round neckline and arm openings. Button place is from neck to waistline, with mother of pearl buttons highlighted by embroidered French knots. Neckline and waist are also outlined by visible stitching in white thread.

High waist is softly pleated and embroidered with Xs then flows free to a embroidered panel at the hem. Inner seams are taped. Features hidden pocket on each hip. No lining. Easy to imagine Marie Antoinette wandering the garden at Le Trianon in this dress.

Label says size 1, but fits M.

Amazing condition, beautifully preserved. No rips or stains. White color is mellowing with age.

Measures 50 inches from shoulder to hem, 19 inches from armpit to armpit, 18 inches across the waist, skirt hem is 54 inches across.
